Five years in business is something to celebrate. We celebrate YOU, our clients and partners in business success, our talented employees, our motivating leadership team, and yes, our CEO Paul Nickens.
We asked Paul to take a look back to when it all began… September 1, 2014.
We wanted to find a way, through technology, to create opportunities to grow your business while never having to worry about infrastructure failing. And, we believed we could create a business that lined up with our faith, being servants of people and businesses.
We are technology professionals.
Anyone can be a fixer, which I call a “mechanic” – you take your car to the shop, they fix it, and you drive off. I want our people to be solution providers –so that you never have to bring your car in for anything. That’s what we wanted for our customer’s businesses.
That’s why We Make IT About You.
Paul also told us why he thought Tulsa was the right place for a business like Newave Solutions to start.
Oklahoma has historically been an oil state, has great colleges, and brings entrepreneurs to the state that will need the services and solutions that Newave can provide. Oklahomans are loyal, want to trust the business that is helping take care of theirs, and have prosperous relationships with great people with fantastic morals.
After high school, I attended Spartan School of Aeronautics. Even though I chose to go to the military, I always loved Tulsa and what it has to offer. We enjoy four seasons, lakes for fishing, golf courses, varied culture and dining, and excellent schools for my kids. With the proximity to Dallas and Kansas City, Tulsa is really just mid-America and offers everything we want.
Tulsa is a great start.
Oklahoma City, we are here for you too.
This industry is competitive,” says Paul. “It’s exciting and occasionally lets you down. It creates all the feelings I had as an athlete and playing sports. Business is a TEAM game. To be successful, you have to build a team that can follow the same game plan as you. I love the win, the excitement that our employees and customers get when we do a great job. The technology business changes daily. Change is good. I hate being bored and stagnate.
Business is a TEAM game.
I love the win.
I hate being bored.
